ABOUT THE CLASS

Part 1 of this class is for all agency staff to increase their knowledge and understanding of the agency emergency preparedness plan and to learn their roles and responsibilities during an emergency response. 2 hours

Part 2 of this class is for all member-facing staff to learn how to provide emergency preparedness training to members. Tools will be provided to participants to have on hand to teach. 2 hours

Both classes are taught consecutively. This class is offered in-person, virtual, and as a self-paced/web-based course. Spanish translation is available.

SPEAKER

Veronica Moody is a retired Air Force Public Health with over 30+ years in emergency preparedness and response. She has also served as a Medical Countermeasures CBRN Analyst, and Protection Operations Specialist for the Department of Homeland Security, Office of Health Affairs in Washington DC. Veronica served in Colorado as a Public Health planner at Tri-County Health Department in roles to enhance volunteer utilization, point of dispensing, logistics, access & functional needs, and assisting entities with emergency planning to comply with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Emergency Preparedness Rule.
