This interactive class is for decision makers to develop and/or enhance an agency emergency preparedness and response plan. This plan could be incorporated into an existing emergency/safety plan or be designed to stand-alone. The facilitator will lead attendees through activities and templates to create agency specific policies, plans and procedures for an effective emergency preparedness and response plan using the Centers for Medicaid & Medicaid Services Emergency Preparedness Rule as a guideline.
This class is offered in-person, virtual and as a self-paced/web-based course. Spanish translation is available. 8 hours

SPEAKER
Veronica Moody is retired Air Force Public Health with over 30+ years in emergency preparedness and response. She has also served as a Medical Countermeasures CBRN Analyst, Protection Operations Specialist for the Department of Homeland Security, Office of Health Affairs in Washington DC. Veronica served in Colorado as a Public Health planner at Tri-County Health Department in roles to enhance volunteer utilization, point of dispensing, logistics, access & functional needs and assisting entities with emergency planning to comply with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Emergency Preparedness Rule.
